Kristin N. Anderson, MD, MPH
When Dr. Anderson joined MCC in 2015, she felt like she had won the lottery. She connected quickly with her colleagues, sharing their passion for patient-centered care, clinical trials and the latest medical advancements. She felt the practice’s community setting combined with its strong university ties was perfect for her.
Prior to MCC, Dr. Anderson earned a master’s degree in public health in New York. That experience taught her the importance of integrative care. She is committed to advocating for her patients and creating individualized care plans, rather than formulaic treatments. She also serves as the medical director at the Center for Integrative Health & Wellness at Marin General Hospital.
After medical school in Minnesota, Dr. Anderson completed her residency and fellowship at the University of California San Diego. Her research has resulted in numerous publications and presentations on topics such as preventative strategies for patients with BRCA mutations, risk factors associated with breast cancer among women of Mexican descent, and the impact social support can have on cancer outcomes.
Originally from North Dakota, Dr. Anderson is a huge fan of Marin County and its easy access to nature. She rides her bike to work every day and enjoys trail running and spending time with her husband and twins.
