We know the journey ahead can seem overwhelming. We do our best to ease your anxiety every time you come to our office. Our nurses make sure you’re comfortable, help you manage your symptoms and explain your treatment options.

I want my patients to know that they always come first. Nursing, for me, was the end product of exceptional training, mentoring, tutoring, kind nudging and loving support through medicine. I have worked as an EMT, home care assistant, medical assistant, phlebotomist, EKG technician, radiation ambulatory care assistant, Registered Nurse and Oncology Certified Nurse. Every patient is unique and different, offering an opportunity to provide the most up-to-date health and wellness teaching available. Before I enter the doors at Marin Cancer Care for my shift, I repeat to myself, Let me dedicate my life today to the care of those who come my way. Let me touch each one with a healing hand and the gentle art for which I stand. And then tonight when the day is done, let me rest in peace if I’ve helped just one.

Marin Cancer Care is a special place. It’s a place to come for answers, for direction and for hope. That’s why I love working here. It is a place filled with hope. We meet people at a vulnerable, scary time and wrap them in care and compassion. It is an incredible honor and privilege to care for our patients, to be part of their journey and help them navigate through so many unknowns.

Marin Cancer Care is my one day a week job after retiring from 35 years at UCSF. It’ hard to believe I’ve surpassed 44 years as an R.N.
I am honored to have worked her for over 4 years. I have also been a patient here for over 6 years. It is such a pleasure to join this wonderful group of caregivers.
Humor has been an ally to me my whole life, and I invite its expression in my practice.

I came from Burma (Myanmar) in 1988 with my mom. Soon after arriving to the States, I have been learning. I am a lifelong learner. I started with English as a Second Language at College of Marin and never stop. I got BSN degree from Dominican University in 2004. I got MSN in Nursing Informatics in 2016. I graduated from Samuel Merritt University with FNP certificate in 2021. Currently, I am working as a nurse learning about chemo medications. My goal is to become an Oncology NP. My beloved mother passed away from cancer in 2019. I want to provide the best care I can to people who are dealing with cancer. I want to honor my mother and I get to do-over every day. It has been my absolute pleasure working at Marin Cancer Care and learned from the staff every day.

“Make a difference and do the work of ♥️” That is what I read on the necklace hanging in my car every morning as I drive to Marin Cancer Care. I decided to become a nurse because of stories. Not only did I want to hear the stories of the patients that came into my life, but I wanted to be a part of them too. I get to live out my calling doing what I love most with a spectacular team that is as equally dedicated and compassionate as I strive to be. When you enter the infusion room, know that you will be met with warm smiles, laughter, and generosity as we walk you through this chapter of your story. I look forward to being a part of it.

I have been an infusion/oncology nurse for 15+ years. I am most passionate about the connection and rapport I have with patients, helping them through what can be a challenging and difficult time. I also find the treatment of cancer with its various modalities and protocols quite interesting and continually evolving. Outside work I spend much time devoted to swing dance and balboa, two related dance forms I am passionate about and find to be super fun!!
